We drove though to take a look at the battlefield because we had been in Valley Forge the day before. I don't mind it being small but there are very few signs or information to tell you what anything is and we had no idea what any of the buildings were and they were all closed up anyway. Also the grounds were pretty rustic. We enjoy battlefields and learning about history but didn't really enjoy this one.
The guide was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions. As my husband and I were the only two on the tour, Ralph was more than willing to talk with us about my husband's 4th great grandfather's involvement in the Revolutionary War. For us, that made our visit all the more memorable.
Found this to be very interesting. Trying to imagine the times all this was going on... OMG.. There is a lot of history in this area and up through Paoli.
The small park and visitor center are worth a stop if you're headed for Valley Forge (as I was), because it is the preview to the next chapter in the history of the Revolutionary War. There isn't much to see, though, and no way to get a sense of the terrain or how the battle occurred.
Good palace to visit because of the historical importance. It is not a must see. If you are in the area it is goood to stop by. Nice place for a picninc
We drove right past here and decided to take a break and visit here. Glad we did. We got to see a short little video which explained a lot about the War. The museum is small but fun. The grounds were also small but nice to see a couple of historical homes. The admission was a small price to pay.
