A real Fireplace? What!?

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Jan 2019
The kitchen I expected. The fireplace was an unexpected surprise. I haven't seen a real fireplace in years. You can buy a firelog at the front desk. The front desk staff is real friendly. Only thing I would ask is for weather stripping under the door to keep the cold air out. Plus, some baking sheets.

Comfortable hotel. Breakfast is a great choice. Plenty of options. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Heating was not great. It did not maintain an even heat. Otherwise a great stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beds were comfortable.

Dear mainahh,

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on our hotel. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay especially our breakfast buffet, friendly associates, and clean & comfortable rooms. I will have our maintenance team look into the heating in that room. It should be giving an even temperature and I am glad that you let me know so that we can get it fixed. We look forward to welcoming you back next time you return!

Sincerely,
Bernice

The room was fine except that the fan (from the heating/air conditioning unit) seemed to aim directly at the bed. Whenever the temperature would adjust and the fan automatically came on, I was uncomfortable. Otherwise it was OK. To be fair--I didn't call down and ask them to adjust anything. I doubt that I'll stay there again, though.

Dated - gross - don’t bother. Booked with our hockey team. There is an odd smell in the room (722); carpet looks and feels like it’s from the 70s; everything - even wall plates are filthy.

The only PRO is that the lobby is new and renovated, front desk staff was very friendly and they had a hot chocolate bar out. HOWEVER - it’s very deceiving - the rooms don’t match the temporary lobby fix.

I left at 11:30 pm and booked at the new Fairfield Inn down the street.

We stayed for an overnight while being in the area for a show. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. The check in went very smoothly even at a very late hour. We were very satisfied with our stay.

The Residence Inn Valley Forge is approximately 10 min drive from the King of Prussia Mall, 5-10 Min drive from Valley Forge National Park, and about 40 minutes drive from Center City (can be at least an hour during rush hours).

I stayed in a two bedroom suite on the second floor with two queen beds downstairs with ensuite bathroom, and one queen bed upstairs in a loft with another ensuite bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining area and desk/work area, 3 flatscreen TVs, free buffet breakfast and daily maid service, and a complimentary cocktail hour with hors d’oevres every Monday and Tuesday. Wednesdays alternated between cocktails and dessert, depending on the week. There’s a swimming pool (outdoors), laundry facilities (coin-op) and a small fitness and business center.

The staff was really wonderful — beginning from the GM, Bernice Coffey, who was friendly and caring - always greeting her guests and helping out at breakfast even. The breakfast staff, especially Phillip, was warm and friendly. Halley and Bernadette at the front desk were always helpful, and Norma and Joselia, taking care of rooms always offered to help with a smile.

Uber and Lyft was convenient and easy to access — but if you have a car, that’s even better. There’s plenty of free parking. A number of business people from Vanguard and the nearby business parks stay here, and they really like living here.

It is an excellent place to stay when you have a family or larger group, where you need more room and the conveniences of home. Excellent for events such as the Devon Horse Show or weddings in Valley Forge. It’s a considerably longer drive to Center City. Really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend friends and family to stay as well, especially when you need a place for long-term.
