I had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn for six months recently. My suite had two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. You walk in to a living room, with sectional sofa and desk, kitchen high table that can seat four, kitchen with microwave, stove, full oven, large refrigerator, pots, pans, dish ware, glassware, kitchen coffeemaker, utensils and silverware. It’s ideal for families, as well as the traveling business person who needs more space and a kitchen. WiFi is free of charge and works very well.
There is one enclosed bedroom downstairs with two queen beds and an attached bathroom. Upstairs in the high ceiling loft, is a second bedroom with one queen bed that has another attached bathroom. There is extra storage both upstairs and downstairs. There are three TVs and the decor is modern but comfortable.
Laundry machines and dryers are provided on the premises, just outside to the left of the reception area — coin operated. You can ask the front desk for extra quarters in change.
The front desk has a small concession area for buying snacks. Also in the front desk reception, is the breakfast room - breakfast is included in the room rate. It’s a lovely breakfast buffet with plenty of coffee waiting. In the same area is happy hour on Monday and Tuesday evenings, with wine and snacks and finger foods. Wednesday is a dessert buffet on alternate weeks.
There is a small fitness center located next to the breakfast room, as well as a business center.
There is also an outdoor pool just outside the breakfast room, and also a barbecue area and green grass.
The hotel is in an excellent location just on 252 and off of Route 202. 5 minute drive to the expressway, 10 minute drive to King of Prussia Mall, 10 Min Drive to Valley Forge National Park. It’s far from Center City Philadelphia and expect about an hour commute time from this hotel to Philadelphia as the traffic on the expressway gets very jammed.
The hotel is also located in the TE (Tredyffrin Easttown School District) which is the #1 school district in Pennsylvania and among the top in the nation. The bus stops just outside the residences.
Most of all, I would like to commend the staff. Packages were always attended to. Bernice, the GM, was very hands-on and extremely attentive to guest needs. Hailley and Bernadette at the front
always coordinated to make sure that snow removal and salting was done in the winter still helpful. In housekeeping, Norma and Josefia were both very detailed. Phillip at breakfast on the weekends was always friendly and cheerful.
Look forward to my next stay!
