The food was good but we thought that we did not care for the fact that it was dark in the restaurant.
The service was nothing special but the it was above average.

I must say, after have a not-so-good experience at another eatery, this was so refreshing. Not only is the food top notch but, the service was outstanding. Let me explain...
My wife and I stopped in for an appetizer and a drink on a Friday evening and it was packed. However, they seated us the moment they were able. I ordered the stuffed hot peppers, which were very good, and after looking over the beer menu, I was a bit excited to see that they had Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale on draft. I just love that stuff and rarely find it on draft. After our waitress brought it to the table I right away noticed it was darker than it usually is the few times I've had it at other establishments. After tasting it I knew something wasn't right so I walked to the bar and mentioned it to my waitress. She was sure it came out of the correct tap and was going to inquire to bar tender as to what could be wrong with it. Come to find out, it wasn't Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale at all but another beer that was connected to the wrong tap. Long story short-the manager gave me a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale at no cost and apologized four separate times during that visit. That alone will keep me going back to Z PUB. I just love it when they are willing to go over board and help to correct things. In the end we all laughed about it.

We tried this restaurant and found the sandwiches delicious. I had the hot Italian sausage sandwich, which was made with crumbled sausage instead of whole or sliced. My wife had the gyro sandwich (which is not a gyroscope, so please pronounce it like "hero"...gero with a soft g). They were great and served with a generous portion of fries. Thin, but not quite shoe-string. Alas, these were overcooked and greasy.
The service was very slow. The restaurant was only half full and they had 3 or 4 waitstaff, but it took 50 minutes to get our 2 meals.
Since the sandwiches were so good, I'll give them another try. Hopefully the fries and service will be better.

Nice atmosphere, clean place, nice bar. Staff very nice.
We had the grilled buffalo chicken wrap and the Greek chicken tacos($8.99) Tuesdays special.
Tacos were great and the buffalo wrap was very good ,, the fries are awesome! Best diner in BC!!

Just came home from our 5th meal at this great restaurant. Almost everything (including the desserts) on their menu are homemade. Had the gyro special today - superb! Prices are in line with the portions and quality. Family-friendly and hospitable service! French onion grilled cheese, hot mess, Italian sausage on ciabatta - everything is delicious! Bonus grab a mix n match 6 pack to go!
