I was able to secure a room here on New Year's Day, at the very last minute. I was in town for a family funeral, and as I was the only patron at the time, I convinced my brother to stay in residence as well, with his large family. We were able to enjoy breakfast together in the large dining room, and several egg casseroles were made to accommodate everyone. Fresh home baked muffins and fruit were offered along with coffee, tea, and juice.
We had the house to ourselves, which was decorated for Christmas, adding to the Victorian Charm of this old building. We spent the evenings chatting n the living room, next to the beautifully decorated tree.
The upstairs level offers one ensuite bathroom, and three bedrooms with use of a bathroom on either side of the hall. It was perfect for a large family upstairs.
The downstairs rooms consist of a family room which holds a king, twin and a trundle, with a private bath, and a queen sized room with a private bath.
Parking is in a lot behind the house.
The house does have free wi-fi, but I found it to be quite spotty. There are televisions in the rooms, but since I do not watch television, I can not attest to what the rooms offer regarding stations.
We were well taken care of while in residence, and I certainly do plan on looking into staying here on future trips to the area.
