The Sellwood Public House totally rocks for all the right reasons. One, it's regularly filled with the coolest people from one of Portland's awesome neighborhoods. It's hip, fun, artsy, sportsy, foodie, and has great prices. It really is a perfect fit for any kind of Portlander, whether walking Sellwood and looking for lunch, having happy hour dinner with your co-workers or friends, watching sports or playing all the pub games--darts, pool, pingpong, and more. And, what may appear as a typical menu is anything but--every entree that passes by smells good and the owner takes great care to make sure the food is awesome. Plus micros, full bar, live music often, and artists sharing their work on the walls. There's a large more romantic room for food and drinks at the main bar, and a large open game area in the back. It's just a great fun place to spend so time enjoying life.
You'll meet great staff like Jason, Becca, Lisa, Matthew and many more.
I'm a regular at SPH, one of many, and everyone's friendly and welcoming. SPH is also the home bar for my darts league team, and again, one of several. At least three teams play out of here, and we chose it because it has 12 boards and tons of space. But the added plus is the service, food and prices. It's always a blast playing a shoot or league at SPH, and local players often run clinics to teach new players. Poker, pool, and pingpong players also enjoy it. But, it's possibly the best dartplayer bar in the city.
