We spent thousands of dollars to travel to Mt. Hood for a swim meet. On the first night staying in one of our rooms there were BUGS in the bed. Not just one or two but hundreds. We called down to the front desk and the night manager Rachel asked if we had left food out in the room? When we said no her response was we must have! We did not. We asked if they had another room but they were booked solid and she had no idea what to do. Try calling your manager next time? We had to cram eight people into one room that night till they moved us to a room the next day. Oh, they did comp us one night, but we did not stay in that room anyways. Would you sleep in a room with a BUG infestation? So they told us they would comp us our second room for our stay. And then they did not do that! They only comped us one night!!! They were supposed to have breakfast out early per an earlier phone call I made and the first day they did not do that either. Terrible customer service there. BUGS in the rooms and worst of all they lie! Do not stay here! There are cheaper places where you can stay and not have BUGS in your room!!! Never again!!!

I don't expect much from "airport hotels". Most people are just spending the night and moving on, and I find that to be the general atmosphere of most hotels that mainly service airports.

This Staybridge Suites hotel, however, was a pleasant surprise! The grounds and interior are impeccably clean, the interior decor is warm and open, and our room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived by car, but the hotel shuttle took us to the airport early the next morning. The man who checked us in even offered us a breakfast-to-go since we were leaving before the start of breakfast. There is a small store to the right of the front desk which sells drinks and snacks. These can be added to your hotel bill or paid for as you go. The hotel also has a selection of DVD's available for rent for $1 a night.

If I am ever in the Portland area and in need of a hotel, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this Staybridge Suites, whether or not I needed the airport. Overall, an extremely pleasant stay!

The staff are friendly but the hotel is dated and dirty. We got a two bedroom suite with two bedrooms. The room was dated. When we got in there was chocolate rapping on the kitchen counter from customer before us. There was no shampoo in one of the toilets. The carpeting was also old and dirty. The breakfast was ok. It was supposed to be open till 9.30 but the staff responsible closed the area off at 9.20.

In conclusion it seems management is weak. But staff are friendly.

We stayed here on the last day of our Oregon coast vacation. It was a shame because this hotel was amazing! Of course it's not in the downtown area but I would stay here on our next trip to Portland. The hotel was immaculate, beautiful and felt like home. The staff was so friendly. Lots of available parking and the breakfast was great! All of the guests seemed so happy and were enjoying the grounds, pool and afternoon reception. It definitely caters to families. Our room was huge - almost too big for the 6 of us. We wish we had stayed here more than one night. Would definitely recommend this place!
