The view from Michael's Beach Place is as pictured; no road, no rooftops, no obstructions. The kitchen appliances are excellent as are the cookware and dishes. The unit is well laid out with two self-contained suites separated by the living room for privacy. Sadly, the beach access is non-existent, a person would have to be young and nimble to get down the steep pathway in back of the condos. The deck furniture is so uncomfortable it was not possible to sit out. There is little to no effort in the furnishings and amenities which are worn out or non-existent. Beds were terrible. Also of note, all the doorways, doors, and walls were scarred up and gouged perhaps someone in a wheelchair who had difficulty in maneuvering; however, this is not particularly appealing to a rental advertised as luxury. Showers are moldy and need cleaned badly. I don't like to present so many negative comments but the four of us agreed that considerable improvements need to be made to rate the accommodation as anything higher than a three.
From the moment you walk in the door you can enjoy stunning views of the ocean and beach. All three bedrooms have ocean views and are very comfortable. A lovely deck, kitchen and living room add to the condo's attributes. We appreciated the 3 bathrooms including one with a accessible shower and jacuzzi tub . You won't regret staying here if you need to accommodate a group.
I took my mom, sister and daughter to Newport Oregon to make lasting memories and fulfill my mom's (who is on Hospice) getaway request. The accommodations were perfect. We painted our interpretation of the lighthouse view from the balcony while Mom enjoyed the view, sounds and breeze of the ocean. It was a great getaway with comfort and all amenities.
