A prime example of "click bait" style of internet pricing. Websites like Expedia offer one price. Then when you show up, the hotel says "those rooms are sold out". During our week long trip down the 101, we encountered many of these hotels. We were traveling in March, so it was not a high tourist time of season. These hotels were not full, at all.
Other than the battle with the front desk over the severe price discrepancy from internet pricing, the hotel was not bad. The rooms were clean and appointed nicely. We even had a regular local visitor. A seagull we affectionately named Frank hung out outside of our window both nights we stayed. He had a unique marking on his tail feathers. I really enjoyed having the stairs on the south side of the hotel to allow direct beach access.More
