This home is one of the older and more modest houses at Black Butte Resort, but it was an excellent spot for our multi-generation family reunion during the solar eclipse. Our first concern was comfortable yet affordable lodgings in the pathway of total coverage of the eclipse; we found that and much more at Black Butte. The house fit our family well. It had every amenity we wished for: a well equipped kitchen (that only needed sharper knives), comfortable beds, a great deck, a big table for family meals, and plenty of hot water in the showers. It was clean and well stocked with all the basics from toilet paper to coffee filters to extra towels. Black Butte Ranch was an added bonus to the eclipse event. We appreciated the well kept natural surroundings and the quiet atmosphere. We took advantage of the beautiful golf courses, excellent swimming pools, bike paths, tennis, pickle ball and bocce ball courts, restaurants and activities for children. It was a great week and I would recommend Black Butte and this house even without the eclipse.
