The 417L Cabin has an instant WOW factor. For one thing, the entrance is right on the road, you park right in front of your cabin and roll your bag in. Second, it is spacious, but the WOW comes from the view. The minute you open the door, you see through the balcony windows and the kitchen windows - that view. Wow Wow Wow.

Our reception was awkward, We walked in to this modern big area and the woman on the phone takes three phone calls as we stand there waiting for her to acknowledge us and check us in.

The cabin was awesome. We can't wait to come back. We love the tiny but functional kitchen with everything we would need; refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove and kitchenware and cookware. The bathroom was spacious enough and had very hot water. Beds were comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The access to the ocean beach is steps away from our door and the sun is setting over that fabulous view. I can't speak for the other accommodations at the Sunset, but cabin 417L is a little piece of paradise.

Breakfast is minimal. You will probably want to supplement.

Had plans to spend 3 days at Bandon, OR. Had coupons from local paper, the coupons were not to expire until may 24th, 2018!! I was informed less than pleasantly the coupons had been canceled in December about the time they were in the newspapers. I personally consider that false advertising.

Room Tip: Unfortunately I was unable to stay at this motel for the above mentioned reason.

Just spent two nights in the Suite section which is not on the beach side of the complex. We had a really great ocean view, however, with a small deck. Our room was quite large with a sitting area as well as king bed. Pet friendly, with special towels and sheets and dog treats which as a nice touch. The furniture is a little dated, but it was perfectly fine for a casual coastal get away. The room was very clean. Staff was super friendly and they have the most amazing raisin bread in the morning at the breakfast buffet. The breakfast hostess was a sweet woman who said they get it from a special baker - she wasn't sure who - and everyone loves it! Easy beach access. Would stay here again. Good value!

Room Tip: Room 199 pet friendly. Nice ocean view. Upstairs. (No elevator)

Our room was spacious with a cozy fireplace and ample seating. Easy access to the beach trail. Next door to a higher end restaurant with sunset views. The front door lock needed repair. Day staff were friendly & helpful. Public jacuzzi is nice & hot...but needs retiling. Perfect view of Face Rock from the Hotel Lobby. Beautiful stretch of coastline & sea-stacks!

Checkin was quick and efficient. The room was larger than expected with 2 queen beds, small couch, table and chairs and fireplace and was clean. The room wasn't ocean front but we had a water view and could hear the waves. The beds were comfortable and the heater in the room was quiet. Overall a very quiet hotel. Breakfast was a typical continental with waffles, which was fine with a very good selection of juices. The addition of some fresh fruit is recommended and would been nice, otherwise it was adequate. The indoor pool needs new plaster but it was useable and warm enough to go in on a cold, rainy morning which was definitely appeciated. Overall I would recommend and revisit in the future.
