I totally was not expecting such a high quality museum. The displays and artifacts are well written and laid out. I really enjoyed the museum. The displays of farm equipment, automobiles and other historical and antique items in the adjacent rooms were quite typical of most pioneer museums but the Chisholm Trail component is exceptionally well set up. A must see if at all interested in the cattle drives and cowboy history of the Old West.

This museum is well worth the visit. It will take you back to what was once the old days. A lot of these items on display are from around many surrounding towns here in Oklahoma and they have a lot out side to see also. A jail, a little cabin in which it shows how they use to live in, a Bank, a Church and a lots more to see.
The Governor Seay Mansion is a real treat as the rooms are all set up as they lived in at the time they stayed there. This is a must if you like old items from the past.

This is a great small town museum. Very interesting and I had the place almost to my self. If you're in OKC and looking for a nice educational diversion, this is it.

This is museum is definitely something to check out. The historical items are very interesting to shed light on the Chisolm Trail, the towns that were apart of American history, and the ways of the days of old. The tour of the Governers mansion and the museum are not outrageously priced so all may get to take a peek into the past.

We had been to the museum a few years ago and saw where the museum had updated the Chisholm trail exhibits. We spent about two hours going through the museum. We both thought the new Chisholm trail exhibits were an improvement. The remainder of the museum had many farm implements that we both wished would have been labeled better as we were trying to figure out what the implements were supposed to do. They also had a good area about the town of Kingfisher and it's citizens. Some areas of the museum need minor repairs.
