The condo was more than you could expect. Everything you need, friendly people, great pool. The bridge was out, so there was a lot of driving. Visited a lot of the surrounding areas. Put In Bay is fantastic. Jim and Katy are very accommodating with great communication. I would recommend this condo to anyone.
This was the perfect place for our family of four (including tween and teen daughters) to spend a week in August. Jimmy & Katy are concerned, responsive owners and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The condo was decorated in a great Lakehouse style that was a lot of fun and so appropriate! We were happy on the king bed in the private bedroom, while our daughters slept soundly on the pull-out sleeper sofas. The furniture was modern and unworn. There's a multi-room stereo (don't think it's even listed as an amenity) that we used most evenings. The front windows give a clear view of Lake Erie from almost the eastern horizon to the western, and most of the time you can clearly see Perry's Memorial over on South Bass Island.
Our daughters were in the big heated pool for at least an hour every evening. It has a nice restroom right there on the deck. We made good use of the Weber gas grills (they also have charcoal) and hot tub ourselves (note - the condo association seems to be fairly strict about not allowing children in the hot tub, we saw another family get confronted about it).
This was our first time staying in Port Clinton and we found plenty to do without much effort. In our first few hours, we drove over to see the Marblehead Lighthouse for an impromptu outing. After coming back we walked a little ways down the street to Dock's for dinner - great food and drinks with live music and open eating areas on the beach. The next day, we walked down to the Jet Express (took us exactly 10 min) and rode it over to Put-In-Pay - being able to walk there is a bonus because otherwise they charge for parking. The day after, we drove the 30 min to Cedar Point. The day after that was a visit to the African Safari Wildlife Park, followed by another fun boat ride, and a second visit to Dock's. On our last day in the area we went to Monsoon Lagoon.
So looking forward to doing it again next year!
