We REALLY enjoyed our stay. It was a quick midweek 2 night, last minute sanity trip, that we usually take around this time of year. Your "Gone Fishin" cabin was exactly what we needed. The location is perfect. Not too far out and away from everything, for convenience sake, very close to McArthur, and most shopping, eating needs.
Even being right off a main street, it was super quiet, most of the time, and seemed more secluded than it was. The size of the cabin was larger than we needed, but wasn't too large. Many different seating areas in the outside spaces, and the seating was all comfortable, on front porch and back porches.
Your amenities were very thoughtful. It's the little things, like a full size coffee pot and plenty of filters to use! (We LOVE our Coffee). Extra Toilet paper, lots of towels, lots of extra blankets, washer & dryer. And when we arrived, check-in was quick and simple, the cabin was warm, and smelled really nice!
The Hot Tub is WONDERFUL, and the jets do their job! Depending on where you sit, you get a different type of massage. Perfect much needed relaxation. The view from the back porches is beautiful in the first half of the day, with the sun warm and shining, and the gazebo swing near the firepit is really serene also.
A nice bonus feature is the Theater Room on the lower level! We LOVE our movies too, and this little setup was actually pretty awesome! High-Res Huge Screen TV and surround sound system. 3 rows of super comfortable seating. The Theater Room TV doesn't connect to the cable channels, it's ONLY for DVD's, BUT.... that's a quick fix. 2 minutes down the street, is a Redbox DVD Rental with all the new movies to choose from!
The shower was HOT! There were only 2 of us staying, so I don't know what would happen with more guests, but our showers were nice and hot! And the water pressure was good enough.
Side Note: EVERY couch in this cabin is insanely comfortable!!! We've chosen what our new furniture will be!! Those reclining couches!! We only used the King Size bed during our stay, even though there are multiples. It was SUPER comfortable also. Pretty firm, but really comfy. We loved the rest we got on this mattress, which isn't always the case in cabins!
To be objective, there were only a few drawbacks, and they're small in comparison to all the good stuff. No WiFi. This isn't really an issue if you're staying to unplug. We enjoyed not having that level of connection, but for a different type of getaway, WiFi might have been needed. None of the radios would work for our streaming music, unless we used our cell phone data, which is what we did, and it worked fine, once we got it going. But WiFi would be nice in the cabin. The only other drawback for us was the pool table. It's seen better days, and is very slanted=unplayable. We love shooting pool, so this was a perk to have the table there. But unfortunately it wasn't up to par. And that's usually the case in rental spaces, so this wasn't an unusual finding. Everything else was sooooo perfect, that we just rolled with it, and shot pool with moving balls! LOL Really not a drawback at all!
This quick trip was perfect, and just what we needed to decompress really quick, and reset ourselves for the next quarter of 2018!
We will DEFINITELY be staying with you again in the future!
