Went to this buffet for my first time with family on Sunday noon. Wow! I was totally impressed with the four food bars. So much to pick from. Everything was delicious and I was surprised by the low price. We fed a family of five for a little more than $60.

The food is usually good and I like the staff most of the time, but last night we had a server that would not listen. As she was cleaning up plates, she took my 5 year old's spoon and started feeding him rice from his plate that he was done with despite me waving my hand and clearly saying "no, he's done" twice, and he was too polite to feel comfortable saying no himself. She got two spoonfuls before she stopped and went to the other side of me and was about to do it to my 3 year old until I told her "no, he didn't like it". To top off the night, my 5 year old threw up later that evening when we got home because he ate too much (and was forced more), and my husband and I got to clean it up. I understand she was trying to be nice, there's a language barrier, and my kids are cute, but I repeated exactly what she asked him first that he was done, and I shouldn't have to say "no" 3 times before someone listens. I grew up going to this place and it's always had the same great owners, but if I can't trust the staff to listen to my requests with my children then I can't come back.

The Hong Kong buffet is pretty much what you would expect from a Chinese buffet type restaurant in the USA. I had not been to the Hong Kong buffet for a few years, but it was definitely not as good as I remember it from my earlier visits. The number of choices was a lot less. The food was not as hot as it probably should have been. The food was generally pretty bland, mostly fried, and generally oily.

While traveling with my GF to visit her family in Marion, OH, she suggested that we try the Hong Kong Buffet. She has been gone for about 6 years, but as soon as she walked in, she was greeted with a smile and a "have not seen you in a long time." I was impressed that the staff would remember.
The buffet is set up in a manner that allows easy access. Although some people seem to "charge" at a buffet and forget the fundamental rules of public dining.
The food was properly prepared and our party sampled a vast majority of the items without any negative comments or complaints. All of the food items were properly heated and/or chilled as required and there were plenty of food available. It was a busy Sunday afternoon, and I did not see anyone having to wait for food because the buffet ran low.
The service is exceptional, even when patrons were grossly insistent on selective attention, the staff never floundered, and immediately provided an answer to every request made of them.
It was also reasonably priced. For 3 of us, it was about $28.00 USD.
I was impressed with my first visit and will make sure to visit on my next trip to Marion.

WE like to eat Chines at times while out traveling or shopping. WE have been to this one many times. Once i was there by myself and the woman at the checkout ask where my wife was. Nice that she remembered us. Always a good meal with the buffet.
