Organic lifestyle experience!

Great Eco type resort for nature lovers! This is a truly unique space in the hills just behind Byron Bay. The kitchen sources much of its food from the permaculture gardens on site or from the local markets. Simple eco cabins set in nature with a Bali vibe. Plenty of open space and a gorgeous natural swimming hole and bushwalks. If you need an immersion in nature but still want a touch of class this is your place.

Nature lovers would not want to leave, the place is run by amazing people, very alternative and friendly, home grown vegetarian food and the cabins were hidden nicely with private views over the amazing green areas.
The special thing about the place is there's no phone reception, and only wifi in reception, so you are totally offine in your cabin.
The pool was pretty cool, we had some frogs jump in with us, and ants start to appear in the rooms when its rainy, but nothing out of control.
Overall a great experience.
Frank, one of the guys who runs the place said they're planning to run yoga, painting and musical workshops as a alternative experience as well, so keep an eye on their calendar online.

We booked Paradise One because of the beautiful photos of the forest and our choice was completely rewarded. This is an alternative resort so don't expect a slick corporate experience - it is no longer owned or run by Peppers (thank heavens!). It is run by a group of people who are offering an alternative to the norm.

Firstly the place is completely relaxed, yet we experienced professional service from check in to check out. Our room was a clean and well appointed, private cabin nestled into the trees. There is no alcohol sold so therefore no mini bar. BYO is absolutely NO problem and much cheaper than overpriced drinks from either a bar or mini bar fridge.

The resort is also meat free - my carnivore husband grimaced at first but was completely won over when presented with the amazing Japanese/Chinese vegetarian spread. Food is served communally and shared amongst guest and staff alike - which made for very interesting and varied conversation.

Given the chance I would have moved into this place, from the morning chorus from awaking birds through to their good night serenade we were completely relaxed and rejuvenated. A true paradise on earth.

I had a wonderful time at paradise one. It is set in stunning surroundings and is so quiet and peaceful with lots of wildlife around. Staff were kind and helpful and so laid back it didn't feel like a hotel at all! cabin was nice, simple yet comfortable and with a lovely big verandah. I would recommend to anyone of a slightly alternate / hippy vibe as it has a gorgeous communal feel to it. They were super accommodating to my young baby too and I would love to go back again soon.

My partner and I chose to stay here because it had no tv and mobile reception and are very glad we did. Our 2 night weekend stay was peaceful and relaxing as we listened to the birds or enjoyed a sunset wine from our balcony. The staff were helpful and accommodating and it was a pleasant experience to sit down at a delicious and filling communal banquet meal and chat with them and the other guests. The creek walk around the grounds is lovely and you do feel like you are in your own little piece of paradise there. We will be back again and recommend to other couples who want to enjoy quality time together.

Great location. Friendly staff. Average rooms. Nice restaurant and bar. No cooking facility in the room, which is a let down. You can take your own cold food. Would love to go back again, but with few more prepration now.
