We booked Paradise One because of the beautiful photos of the forest and our choice was completely rewarded. This is an alternative resort so don't expect a slick corporate experience - it is no longer owned or run by Peppers (thank heavens!). It is run by a group of people who are offering an alternative to the norm.
Firstly the place is completely relaxed, yet we experienced professional service from check in to check out. Our room was a clean and well appointed, private cabin nestled into the trees. There is no alcohol sold so therefore no mini bar. BYO is absolutely NO problem and much cheaper than overpriced drinks from either a bar or mini bar fridge.
The resort is also meat free - my carnivore husband grimaced at first but was completely won over when presented with the amazing Japanese/Chinese vegetarian spread. Food is served communally and shared amongst guest and staff alike - which made for very interesting and varied conversation.
Given the chance I would have moved into this place, from the morning chorus from awaking birds through to their good night serenade we were completely relaxed and rejuvenated. A true paradise on earth.
