We enjoyed a fantastic week in this superb, large, family friendly house. It is modern, clean, and comfortable and set in beautiful surroundings.
We had 2 young children in our group; they loved their stay as much as the adults.
Terry and Angela are fantastic. They are very welcoming and on hand if ever we needed them.
The homemade cake on arrival was superb.
We would thoroughly recommend to all.

“Great Weekend!”

Staying at Rainsbury House was a lovely experience. The owners are very accommodating and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect (including champagne on arrival as we were celebrating, a hamper and scones and clotted cream!). The beds were very comfortable and the cottage itself was modern and very clean. The cottage is in a great location. It is in a quiet location but there is easy access to Exmoor. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of visiting the area.

Such an amazing place to stay, a beautiful house, nicely decorated, very clean. The most comfortable bed ever!! The owners were so lovely and friendly, providing scones and cream when we arrived and making sure we all had everything we needed. Their two labs were the best, we were even allowed to take them on a walk with us!

We had a lovely stay at The Barn. It was fantastically equipped and beautifully located. The little extras, like the home made cake on arrival and fresh flowers throughout the house, made it extra special.

“A real home from home”
Reviewed 22 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The Lawlors had a lovely long weekend enjoying beautiful countryside and copious amounts of food, beer and wine in the beautiful converted barns at Rainsbury House.

Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, fluffy towels and lots of other home comforts including a homemade cake on arrival!

Only criticism would be not enough toilet paper supplied for 10 of us & no coffee machine but we didn't have to travel too far to find a lovely coffee shop.

A beautiful retreat :)

Management Response
25 Apr 2015
Thanks so much for your feedback. We're really pleased you had such a wonderful stay.
We have considered providing a coffee machine, but it's difficult to know what type to provide given the number of options - would guests bring sachets of ground coffee or Nespresso capsules etc.?
As for loo rolls we do, of course, provide a new one in each of our six bathrooms, and we were happy to give you an additional supply when you requested them. We'll make sure we put a supply of spares in the cottages in future.
Kind regards
Terry and Angela
