“Beautiful cottage, location and county”
Reviewed 2 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Great location, very close to town but far enough out that you feel de-stressed as soon as you arrive. The cottage is a great size, with a lovely view from the upstairs lounge and the back garden is in the sun all day.
Richard (owner) was very welcoming and gave us good tips for looking round the area. The Chain Bridge Honey Farm is well worth a visit, lovely coffee and homemade cakes on the bus! Recommend doing the Lowry Walk. Would love to stay here again :)

“Ideal Location for the Borders”
Reviewed 29 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Great place to enjoy all that Northumberland has to offer. Comfortable and well equiped with wonderful views looking accross the fields to Berwick upon Tweed. The best of both worlds for self caterers - peace and quiet and a few minutes from supermarkets and the town ammenities.

“Dog friendly, people friendly and stunning setting”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stunning setting for a brilliant, comfortable, relaxing holiday home. A homemade cake and bottle of wine awaited our arrival and the owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. We took our little boys 2 and 4 year olds and a border terrier who was in her element in the secure enclosed back garden.
Berwick must be one of the last parts of the country where dogs are actually allowed on the beaches which are plentiful and great for adventuring and rock pooling with kids (the boys had to be dragged from the beach each day).
There are Plenty of places to visit. Eyemouth, coldingham sands, spittal, holy island, the farne islands, cocklawburn beach and pot a doodle doo are within a few miles and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back again. Loved it

Many thanks

“Fantastic place with lovely owners”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

On arrival at The Old Barn, we were greeted with a lovely homemade cake and a bunch of daffodils. The accommodation is exactly as listed with lovely large rooms with fantastic views over the Northumberland countryside. Wonderful location for both Northumberland and Scotland as very close to the border. Just off the A1 so easy to find but not close enough for it to be a problem. Supermarket close by. The owners of The Old Barn were very welcoming and were willing to go above and beyond that which you would normally expect from a private rental. Would definitely stay here again.
