This is an exceptional apartment in a fantastic location. There are lots of walks around Berwick and this is a splendid place to start them. The view from the flat is wonderful and there is something lovely about falling to sleep listening to the sea lapping against the sea walls. We went to the Edinburg festival a couple of times. The railway station is a 15 min walk away and then a 30min journey and your there!! We had a great holiday and look forward to going back next year.

“Holiday bliss”

My wife and I enjoyed last year's holiday at Filey where we hired a cottage on the sea front. We had a brilliant time and decided to repeat but staying at Berwick, a town we had previously only visited en route to and from Scotland.
Many internet hours were spent seeking the ideal accommodation, but could find nowhere matching 6 Pier Maltings specification. The place seemed so light and spacious from the photographs, so two weeks were booked.
No problems with booking or communications and we eagerly awaited our visit. Like two excited children we explored this upside down house arriving at the third floor open plan sitting, dining and kitchen. Wow! The photographs do not do justice to the East coast light, the colours and patterns across the estuary. The rooms and furnishings sparkled and still had that "new" look.
After the journey a cup of tea beckoned and the 'makings' were all laid out, together with a freshly baked drizzle cake.
We like it quiet and the thick walls and double glazing of the Maltings ensured this. With the comfy beds we slept like the proverbial logs!
Berwick did not disappoint, nor the surrounding countryside. Two weeks flew by, the only sadness being when we had to leave.
Thank you Michael and Katharine - 6 Pier Maltings pushed all the right buttons for us.

This is the third year we have stayed at this Town house in Berwick, this is a great property, with excellent views and excellent facilities, the owners Katharine and Michael have thought of everything. Just got to mention the lovely lemon drizzle cake and tea making items there on arrival, very special place.

“Superb, tranquil location with well equipped living accommodation”
Reviewed 23 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

I can't praise this holiday accommodation and location enough. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a young couple and a retired couple. It suited us all. We all particularly enjoyed the seats in the window and spent many hours gazing out to sea in the early morning and evening.

There are wonderful walks available with stunning views, and also we enjoyed the walks though town on market day. It is hilly but that adds to the experience. Congratulations to the owners in providing this marvellous space. Hope to return for a longer stay another time.

“Wonderful retreat”
Reviewed 2 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

Returned from a 3 night break between Christmas and New Year, what a lovely property! From tea and Christmas cake on arrival to frosty night time walks to the lighthouse, we had a great time. We loved that the house was so close to the town but felt so secluded and watching the seagulls whilst having a cuppa in bed was delightful. Comfortable, well equipped and quiet, we had a super time and would love to return in the future
