Stopped off for lunch whilst on a 4 hour Swale Trail ride.

Excellent service, friendly and welcoming, amazing pub, in a beautiful setting and delicious food. Just what our weary legs needed. The baguettes and views recharged our batteries.

We will 100% return.

A great evening meal with good choice of menu and with plenty of space to circulate. I can recommend the duck! Quick and friendly service. This was our second visit here with friends and once again the food was lovely. Many thanks for a great evening.

Room tip: We had a table between 1800 and 2000.

A lovely place to stay with helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Excellent food at both dinner and breakfast. Wonderful views from our comfortable room which was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in room 2, the room was very clean, comfy beds and great view. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening meal and cooked breakfast, the food was excellent. We will definitely stay again.

I visited the Punch Bowl whilst walking Swaledale with a friend. It was a very hot day, we were very tired, and although any pub would have satisfied us we immediately realised that The Punch Bowl was better than 'any pub'.

The beer was local and very good. The food was delicious, obviously made on-site by a business that cared. We had 2 lunchtime sandwiches. Both served in a fresh baguette type roll and with a fresh and delicious side salad and tasty crisps.
