This is now about the 4th time at the Bay. Oystercatcher is spotlessly clean, has all the bits and bobs you need for a short break/ week.
On site pub needs a bit of a management kick up the ....... They are missing a trick if they do not get their act together.
Just discovered on this stay the gym! though you may not need if if you walk for miles in the day. Have not tried the pool though my wife has, only complaint was it is busy, it is school holidays though.
The bay is in a fantastic location for lots of walks in all directions including Filey about 40 amble away. The the Downcliffe Hotel in Filey if you want to sit outside and have a nice coffee and meal. Food portions are large and very good quality. plenty of lovely Fish n chip shops to choose from.
Would not hesitate staying at the oystercatcher again when we are next at the Bay. Thank you for sharing.
Just returned from our 3rd visit to The Bay. Had a great time again. The pool is lovely, the pharmacy useful, but the John Paul Jones not so good any more, we were plagued by flies in there, the ale wasn't pleasant and food prices seem to have risen, but didn't fancy eating where there were more flies than customers.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, and had everything we required.
It would have been helpful if there had been the name "Oystercatcher" displayed on the flat as well as the number, as we were a little unsure that we had arrived at the correct building.
Apartment was lovely. Beach is only 1 mile walk. The site could do with a shop. Didn't use the pool as when we went to fun session we were told the pass only covered general swimming which is a shame.
We had a lovely stay once again at the Bay. The apartment is lovely and has everything you need for your stay. Comfortable bed lovely soft white towels and great an suite shower. We would definitely recommend to family and friends. Looking to come back to Bay October time and hopefully at Oystercatcher.
