This was our second stay at Heron cottage.
Generally excellent, but there is no tumble dryer and the washing machine was full of sand!
A lovely homely property which accommodated my son and 3 grandsons perfectly. They had a lovely time and enjoyed the well equipped cottage. Plenty of room and all mod cons!!! The arrival proceedure was seamless and the cottage was clean and tidy. In a great location close to the sea and the shops and parks and sports facilities. Everything they needed was on hand. A great little find and one I am sure we will be using again.
We had a week in Heron Cottage, not long enough. We walked a lot, went to the zoo, went to Dymchurch on the train , went rowing on the Militairy Canal and we even had time to sit on the beach. The shops are walking distance as is the beach.
The house has just about everything to make it a home away from home.
We've been hiring houses in the Kent coastal area for 8 years now and this is the best by a long shot.
The perfect combination Heron Cottage and Hythe. This was our 3rd stay, the house is always clean and well maintained, a great place to stay with everything you could wish for. Lots to do and see in Hythe and plenty of places to eat. We enjoyed a walk up Hythe Hill to see the great views of the bay, watching the Kite Surfing at the Sailing Club and breezy walks along the promanade. As always we went for a trip on the minature railway but this time got a see a seal bobbing about at Dungeness. Wildwood is worth a visit to see the brown bears rescued from Bulgaria. A great week!
