We stopped going here because of the bad service but as it had been refurbished we thought we would give it another go. The sun was shining and it was the first lovely day of the year so we thought, great a nice pub lunch in the garden. We decided what we wanted to eat and I sat in the garden. The usual long wait to be served - no change there then. My husband came out with the drinks and said we cannot eat outside - despite loads of tables. He said since it has been refurbished (at least a couple of months now) they are still waiting for the tables to have numbers attached to them. I thought this was a joke, but no, no food to be eaten outside until table numbers attached to tables. Have they not heard of raffle tickets given out or use wooden spoons with numbers painted on them. Oh well, we continued with our drink and then we thought, if we can't have lunch at least lets have a packet of crisps. Surely that's allowed! My husband was gone for at least 20 minutes, I was beginning to think he had to pick the potatoes and fry them himself. When he eventually came out he said they had run out of crisps. I was speechless. What a disgrace of a pub. Think they may be losing lots of customers. Manager needs sacking! No way to run a pub.
