“Jam packed with jam and junk - lovely!”

Mrs Bridges Pantry Vintage Tea Room

A place that it is worth traveling to Faversham for on its own. Set in a pleasant street near the historic market square and just up the road from a really great hat shop, this is a very nice place to rest your feet whilst enjoying good English tea and cakes. The place is packed with vintage junk ( sort of antique but more vintage than actually old ) which you will enjoy looking at as you while away an hour here.
Faversham is a great unsung tourist attraction close to Canterbury, eighteenth century houses abound, and it also has an ancient creek with interesting classic boats. Loads of charity shops too, so spending a day here is a real pleasure for those who love a bargain. Great place in an historic Kentish town, once renowned for smuggling.

Had a lovely visit to Mrs Bridges Pantry during our holiday in Kent in August 2017. We fed our baby in the "garden" and had a good explore of the shop. Really interesting place.

Cake was very good, coffee extremely average. Could do with service with a smile. Little repor with customers and hardly a smile.
The shop with its old fashioned items was worth a visit.
You will need to take cash as no cards accepted.

Had cake and a tea here one Sunday after along walk we were all very dissapointed with the size of the slice of cake offered considering the price. The cakes were nice just needed to be more of it.
