A place that it is worth traveling to Faversham for on its own. Set in a pleasant street near the historic market square and just up the road from a really great hat shop, this is a very nice place to rest your feet whilst enjoying good English tea and cakes. The place is packed with vintage junk ( sort of antique but more vintage than actually old ) which you will enjoy looking at as you while away an hour here.
Faversham is a great unsung tourist attraction close to Canterbury, eighteenth century houses abound, and it also has an ancient creek with interesting classic boats. Loads of charity shops too, so spending a day here is a real pleasure for those who love a bargain. Great place in an historic Kentish town, once renowned for smuggling.
