We stay at Salterns every year and it is perfect for us. The houses are very well equipped for a self-catered holiday. L ove all the outdoor space for the children to use. It is not overcrowded or noisy and the staff could not be more helpful. It is also in an excellent location.
Myself and the extended family have stayed here for the past 5 years.
it is so lovely to have all the family under one roof. The weather has always been kind to us at this time of year and we always manage to get at least one day to spend on the lovely beaches found in the Isle of Wight. There is lots to do on the Isle and we specially recommend Robin Hill and the donkey sanctuary. For younger kids the jungle Gym on Shanklin sea front is great and a chance to sit down and have a coffee while the kids have great fun.
Tranquil setting safe for children and near beach. Cottage clean and well equipped. Staff always friendly and very helpful. Have already booked again!
Just returned from a fabulous week here.
The staff couldn't be more friendly, helpful, and efficient.
The accommodation was everything you need and extremely clean and well maintained.
Picnic benches on decking both front and back so we always caught the sun.
The connecting door between our two cottages is a fab idea as at mealtimes and evenings we could all be together.
Just a couple of minutes walk to the beach made it fabulous for our dogs with a brilliant flat pathway to Seaview and Ryde.
All our party who ranged from 9 to 80 years old loved it and can't wait to return!
The chalets are basic but great for what you need for a weekend away. Beds are quite uncomfortable and extremely noisy! Shower is in a wet room which doesn’t drain properly so you end up standing in a very deep puddle.
Area is lovely and in a really good location. Site is very clean and pleasant and all chalets have a decking area which was nice.
The staff are so friendly. From the moment we booked the break Brittany from reception has gone above and beyond to help us book ferry’s etc. Top customer service.
