I'm a big fan of Travelodge but this hotel needs to invest in some airconditioning, especially for guests on the top floor. We stayed on a day of high heat and it was so bad in the room that we couldn't stop sweating and then couldn't get any sleep. The staff were sympathetic and put two electric fans in the room, but with tiny windows that don't open more than a few centimetres it had very little effect. It was more than enough to ruin our stay

We appreciate the time you have taken to review our Ryde Isle of Wight hotel.

We are sorry to learn that the higher temperatures had a negative impact on your experience.

In our ongoing efforts to beat the heat, we do offer fans and lighter bed linen for guests at reception, however we fully appreciate and do apologise that you were not comfortable during your time with us.

Feedback is invaluable and our Hotel Managers regularly review their TripAdvisor reviews in order to fix any issues raised and pass on feedback to their team.

Thank you once again and we do hope you will stay with us in the future.

When we visit family here, we always use this hotel. It's clean, friendly and the location is spot on. Restaurants, shops etc all within walking distance. Plus the bus stop is just at the bottom of the high street.

As I mentioned in the previous page, the mattress could be improved and children's even more so. Some cabinet storage facilities are needed. Air conditioning is preferred though not easy to install, I understand.

This hotel is in the perfect location at the top of the high street. Room a good size and very clean. Could even see the sea from our window. It was really hot weather but we coped. There was the opportunity to stow a bag before check in and after check out ... a rare facility in Ryde!

Stayed here for 3 nights as attended IOW Pride as a stall holder.Great location close to main town and easy walk downhill to the beach area where IOW Pride was held.Parking options available close by with 1 hour complimentary parking outside but we received a ticket when using the nearby Lind Place site using PayByPhone ( challenged promptly!).Rooms as to be expected but temperatures in the hotel were uncomfortably high however fans were provided including in the corridors. Shower curtain a tad too short causing water to spill onto floor.Staff very helpful with any questions/ requests eg iron etc and displayed Pride info in Reception inc parade route etc entering into the Pride spirit.External noise experienced from the outside decked area at the Crown pub next door late at night but fortunately not beyond midnight and possibly only because we had to leave our windows open due to the heat. Did much touring on our long weekend break but much more to see and we look forward to returning.
