We stayed here for the Easter break. Had an apartment on the top floor, so the view was good, although not a seaview. Apartment was clean and presentable. Bed was comfortable, although pillows very soft. Not very good tv reception, could only get BBC1, BBC2 no ITV, Channel 4 or 5. no instructions of where to meet in case of a fire, fire blanket in apartment. Other than that very nice host.

We recently stayed in one of the Claverton House self catering flats. It was clean, comfortable and cosy. Really convenient for local corner shops and only a few minutes walk to the bus station for buses all over the island. Thank you to our friendly hosts for a reasonably priced short break.

The house is very nice and situated directly by the sea, its only a few foot steps away from the beach. The garden is so beautiful and we were allowed to use it at any time!!! The location is very easy to find and in walking distance to the hovercraft and the catamaran. From Ryde you can go anywhere on the Island. The main bus station is also only a short walk away. Because we stayed in Claverton House, we didn't even need a car which would have been quite different, if we had stayed somewhere else like Bembridge or Newport. There is a lovley beach walk from the house along the beach to Seaview...simply the best relaxing path in europe... The house is very clean and the hosts were so good to us! Their service was excellent, we could even wash our clothes. They were also very flexible with the times of stay and we we were able to also book the flat for half a week which in other places is often not the possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will go back as soon as we can. We will also recommend Claverton House to our friends and family as the perfect place to stay on the Island! Thank you so much Irene and Harry and we hope you are both well!!! All the best from the three Berliners, Billie, Daniel and little Zoe (who is asking all the time when we will go back to Claverton House...)

Difficult to find, no sign only small house number. Breakfast very poor asked what we wanted the night before, no fruit juice, no cereal, no jam or marmalade for toast just the full English. Room was ok, cobwebs in bathroom no milk for tea or coffee, had to ask. We where shown room then the host disappeared. Overall the best description would be ODD!

I visited isle of wight for the first time for may bank holiday with my wife and it was a excellent stay at claverton house. We took the ensuite double bed acco with breakfast. Room was very good and cosy :) Harry was very helpful and a thorough gentleman. Breakfast was also stumptous and I would thank the lady for that. Dont miss the garden as it is very well maintained and a must see during summers.
Ryde bus station, pier, bowling club all are nearby including a very good indian restaurant bombay palace.

Overall a very good deal and would definitely recomment others.
