“Lovely week in the New Forest”

Had a week here in March. Great location for getting around the New Forest and surrounding area. Owner kept in touch to make sure everything was ok and we'd settled in. Cottage was clean and well equipped. Plenty of space to chill out. Wake up call from the donkeys is a bit different to the cockerel we're used to!

Glad you had a good week and were lucky enough to enjoy a bit of sunshine. I see in the guest book that you made it to Exbury Gardens and Buckler's Hard, which are both beautiful spots all year round. Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review, and I hope we can welcome you back soon.

We had a very relaxing stay at Forest View. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped. We stayed with our 22 month old and he absolutely loved the play area outside. You can walk or cycle straight from the house into the Forest and there is a lovely pond a short walk away. There is a great farm shop 2 minutes from the house and some small supermarkets 5 miles away. You don't really need anything else. We hope to be back next year. Elena was so helpful and gave us lots of great suggestions for things to do with our family although we really couldn't beat stomping around in puddles and watching the ponies!

Thanks for the lovely review. I'm so glad you had a good time despite some travel difficulties. The New Forest is such a great area - especially for children. The animals are fantastic and constantly wandering up and down the lane. And even if it rains, you can't top sploshing about in muddy puddles when you're a toddler! Hope you'll come back again. Thanks for taking the time to post.

“Everything we needed”

Very comfortable and really well equipped. The children loved the play equipment in the garden and the games and it was wonderful to be right on the edge of the forest - 2 mins walk along the lane and you're there with the ponies, donkeys and cows. We will definitely be back!

Thank you for your very kind review - back to nature is a great title! Poor old Slough...wherever you come from, your cares melt away as soon as you bump over the cattle grid and into the beautiful New Forest. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back again next year. Thanks for taking the time to post.

“Peaceful holiday.”
Reviewed 29 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The property was clean and well equipped, and was exactly as described in the details. The beds were comfortable. The WiFii worked well and we didn't have any problems. The garden is ideal for bird watching. We saw Dunnocks, a selection of blue tits, great tits, starlings, blackbirds, robins and pigeons. We were also lucky to see a great spotted woodpecker. Even though the weather was over cast and wet it didn't spoil our stay. Hatchet Pond at the end of the lane was great for seeing the swans, ducks, horses, ponies and donkeys. The cows were quiet and friendly. The Royal Oak pub at Beaulieu served lovely food. Can also recommend the Walhampton Arms lovely food reasonably priced.
Will be recommending the property to my friends.

I'm so glad you enjoyed staying at Forest View, and thank you for such a lovely review. The birds are indeed fantastic at the moment and with the feeders full you can enjoy a busy bird show from the conservatory with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, whatever the weather. Thanks for taking the time to post, and I hope to welcome you back.
