We stayed here as a stop-over for a cruise from Southampton. The room was very large with a sofa, and 4 poster bed, which was very comfortable. We ate lunch, dinner abd breakfast, and the food was excellent, and probably the best steak I've had in a very long time. Breakfast was also very good, with locally sourced produce (although I don't think the bacon was from peppa pig world next door!)
Staff were extremely polite and helpful. My one and only gripe, is the slightly overpriced drinks. £5.25 for a pknt of Moretti is a bit expensive! But overall a very pleasant hotel and we will definitely return.

One night stay to go to the Southampton Boat Show. It was very busy and fully booked. Lovely lady booked us in. Headed for the bar and restaurant. Chicken goujons washed down with a nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and a good selection of puds. In the morning a great full English. Great value, great food, great staff could do with a refurbishment

Lunch for two. Very quiet on the day we visited. No other customers there. Food was okay and certainly value for money. Chef happily amended one of the dishes of the dishes to suit preferences and allergies.
Unfortunately the lunch was somewhat spoiled by the awful coffee. The staff member quickly pointed out that it came from a machine and there was no control over taste or strength. It certainly tasted grim and must rate as some of the worst coffee I have ever tasted and paid for.
Seating was old and very smelly. Could do with a clean and freshen-up.

We stayed here for one night as a base to explore the New Forest and were not disappointed
The main reason for choosing this particular place was that dogs were accepted albeit at a price of 10pounds
Th room was spacious and clean and well decorated with a very large mirror an tea and coffee making facilities
Despite being next to Peppa Pig World there was no children running around and in fact there is a no children in the bar after 7pm
We had an evening meal which was large portions and well presented and tasted great as did the included breakfast the next morning together with free papers to read
The staff were very welcoming and helpful

Room Tip: All seemed a good size on the plan

Room very shabby and scuff marked furniture both in the bedroom and hallway. Dirty and ragged bed settee in the bedroom which sagged in the middle if you sat on it. You would need a set of binoculars to view the TV set which was tiny.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The experience was ruined by the overall dinginess of the furniture. Sticky table syndrome in the dining room.
Bar area was very nice and food good.
