“Great house for large families/groups and dogs”

Lovely village in the heart of the Cotswolds, near to Bourton-on-the-Water.
This was a fabulous house for our 2 families, total 11. The bedrooms are large with very comfortable beds, 3 en-suites, a lovely bathroom and a ground floor toilet. The games room also provides a great area too with a huge TV and XBox. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of extras too. The dining area looks out over the garden and rolling hills and the table was great as we could all sit around together, making it all very sociable. Two sitting rooms allowed us to spread out if we needed and the garden was something else!. The photo actually makes the garden look smaller than it really is! Our two dogs loved running around it.
The whole house was absolutely fabulous. I cannot fault any of it. Clean, very well equipped and with lots of parking. I would definitely recommend this house for a fabulous stay for a large amount of people including children as there are stairgates at all the stairs.

“Excellent weekend stay with family”
Reviewed 18 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We stayed here for our first wedding anniversary weekend at the beginning of September with our families - 11 adults, 2 children, 2 newborns and 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house had a luxurious feel. Everything we could have needed was available in the kitchen. The dining room was great for us all to gather in, especially with the beautiful views of the Cotswolds hills. The children and dogs loved the garden which was as big as a football pitch. It was a shame we didn't get the weather for the whole weekend or we could have made more use of it. The house is in a great location for walks and visiting the surrounding villages. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again at some point in the future.

“Perfect setting, wonderful house for large family get together.”

Beautiful, large house in Blockley, near Morton-in-Marsh in the Cotswold. Lots of places to visit, Mill Dean Garden well worth a visit. Landgate House looks like a little bungalow when you arrive at the front door, but step inside and it's like a magician's trick. We had a total of 12 people staying and it was so easy, we even had 3 spare beds!! Lots of lounging space and a fantastic conservatory dining room which had the most amazing view down the garden and rolling valley beyond.

“Beautiful location. Clean and well positioned house.”
Reviewed 6 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We booked this house for the extended family numbers as allowed for and described by the advert. In a beautiful location and fabulous views, the bedrooms were spacious and clean. The loft rooms which were advertised as not suitable for young children, were also not suitable for older children or adults as the futon beds in the television room were very uncomfortable and could not be slept on.. As in the small print there is an issue with the water pressure, it proved to be a massive problem with us as if someone used the shower no other tap would work at all. Which proved to be an issue with us all getting ready to attend a wedding. There was also a bad smell from the drains in the house from the bathrooms. The dining room was lovely except uncomfortable when the sun was out as it got extremely hot under the glass roof.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re delighted you found the house to be clean and well-positioned in a beautiful location, but sorry to learn that you had a few issues during your stay.
The water pressure in the village can be very variable and it sounds like your visit unfortunately coincided with a particularly bad spell of low water pressure, which will have resulted in low water flow problems.
We plan to fit a water reservoir and pumping system to the property to rectify this issue.
With regard to the drains, a CCTV survey has confirmed that the drains are not blocked and we are taking advice from professionals as to how best to rectify this intermittent problem in one of the en-suites.
The dining conservatory is a lovely place to spend time eating and relaxing, but can get hot during the summer months, due to the glass roof and number of windows.
The house’s sleeping capacity is advertised as sleeping 11 +4. There are 5 bedrooms which can accommodate 11 people. When larger groups book, we anticipate the two single futons up in the Cinema Room will be primarily used by older children and teenagers. Following your feedback, we will look at how this room is set up for future guests.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. This is a new venture for us and we are keen to do all we can to ensure our guests enjoy their stay in this lovely Cotswold location.
