“Outstanding cottage of high quality and comfort in a beautiful Cotswolds village”
Reviewed 10 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Having never been to The Cotswolds before I wasn't really sure where to stay so chose this cottage based on the photos and reviews. The cottage itself far exceeded my expectations and as it turned out, it was in a perfect Cotswolds location with so many gorgeous villages within a few miles drive.
I was met by the very friendly owners who showed me around and gave me a very comprehensive summary of things to do, places to visit and various aspects of the cottage, which they clearly love. This love shows through as the cottage is so homely and comfortable with everything you could need. Lots of room and top quality furniture and fittings.
Despite it being April I managed a few hours on a few occasions sitting out in the lovely cottage garden which is very well equipped with table and chairs and an abundance of plants and flowers.
There are some wonderful walks straight from the door. And as I was holidaying with my dog, this was very much appreciated. I've stayed lots of places before which claim to have 'walks from the door' but in reality they are just walks on roads. Clouds Hill has numerous footpaths from within the village. And the village of Blockley itself is delightful and so peaceful and quiet, even during the Easter school holiday week. So peaceful that we came across pheasants, rabbits and even a deer wandering in the village!
Many places nearby to visit, far too many to list all, but I enjoyed Batsford Arboretum (which has a great shop and cafe), Blenheim Palace, Waddesden, Dover's Hill, Broadway Tower, Rollright Stones as well as lots of beautiful little villages such as Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-water and Lower Slaughter.
I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone who is considering it. Just book it. You won't regret it.

“Lovely cottage!!”
Reviewed 6 February 2018 for a stay in January 2018

This lovely cottage situated at Blockey, in the Costwolds, is an excellent and full equipped house to relax and be in contact with nature in a peacefull enviroment. Others villages are very near from here, as Borton on the Water, Moreton in Marsh ,Bibury Broadway and Chipping Campden. Everything was perfect and its owners are very friendly people. We felt like at home.
A place to come back someday!!!

“Quiet, Relaxing and Friendly”

We have stayed at Cloud's Hill several times before and have always enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cottage. Cloud's Hill is well equipped and the owners Kate and Chris are nice friendly people who 'get' what people are looking for in this kind of holiday.

If you don't know the village Blockley is beautiful with a number of pleasant walks in and around the village. Harvey the dog thoroughly recommends the ford just down the High Street as the perfect snorkelling location and the heated floor in the lounge is perfect for drying off a damp belly.

All in all the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

“Cosy pet-friendly cottage in a quiet lovely location”

Although it is well equipped with e.g. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washer and dryer, living in Cloud Hills is like a step back in time, perfect for a relaxing holiday and a little escape from everyday life.

The owners were very friendlly and made us feel welcome immediatly, as well as the housekeeper and the neighbours.

We spent two wonderful weeks in Blockley, which is a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds and starting point for lots of great walks with our dog Peppone who enjoyed his holyday at least as much as we did.

“A wonderful cottage oozing quaintness!”
Reviewed 28 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

On arrival we were met by the friendly owners who gave us a very warm welcome. They briefly explained the important things we needed to know about the cottage for our stay and also advised us on some of the wonderful things to do in the area, which was very helpful. The cottage is in an ideal location in the beautiful village of Blockley with access to some great pubs and a lovely delicatessen/little cafe. It was great to be able to park our car right outside the cottage and to go for some lovely walks around the village and countryside with our little dog.

Beautifully decorated and oozing quaintness, the cottage had everything we needed to ensure we had a lovely relaxing break. Very clean and warm, a well planned kitchen, a large dining table, very comfortable beds, a beautiful bathroom, and of course a lovely comfortable lounge with an open fire! We were lucky to have good weather during our stay and took the opportunity of taking our breakfast on the patio overlooking the beautiful scenery.

We headed for home, fully refreshed from our stay, promising ourselves that we will be arranging to come back again to this cottage very soon.
