A much improved hotel since our last visit two years ago (as is the beach) . Nice comfy sea view room and a good breakfast. The first time we've had breakfast in a chip shop. After service, the place reverts to a fish restaurant. Great location on the esplanade near the pier and the centre of town. Thanks to all the helpful staff. Cheers

I wonder if the people who own hotels ever try sleeping in their own hotel rooms? It was clean and breakfast OK and staff pleasant - BUT - (Room 10) had Rock hard beds and pillows to match; a shower that was no better than a leaking tap; a towel rail that constantly fell off; bath towels about as big as a flannel; a TV that you needed binoculars to see it as it was so small! And through the night we were constantly woken by the extractors fans from the adjoining bathrooms as all the fans are worn out and the bearings whirr and squeak; bathroom floors and bath that was so slippery we had to assist each other in and out of the ridiculously ineffective shower; and a wonderful trip hazard in the hall of a step about 50mm high that was not marked. Anyone looking to make a slip or trip injury claim would have a field day here! On the good side, breakfast was nice and the ladies helpful and it's very close to the beach.

Room Tip: Avoid Room 10!!

We stayed here for 2 nights and upon arrival the staff particularly latita was so accommodating and friendly. Parked our car in car park at back and you do have to walk around front of hotel .
Owner Bobby was so kind he even gave us a choice of rooms (we booked a deluxe double) the room we chose was very large and spacious with a small bathroom with shower. Room 1. Beautiful sea view with large television and very comfy bed. Hairdryer also in room with tea and coffee making facility. The hotel is next door to a great fish and chip shop which was very friendly and fab food . The hotel bar is small but friendly service again. Breakfast is served in the adjoining fish and chip restaurant which is included and we had the choice of cereals toast juices and an awesome full English . We were made to feel very welcome and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. Only comment would be to provide paper towels in general toilet downstairs rather than one hand towel in the one toilet for both men and women. Saying that the toilet was very clean again.
I would definitely recommend to stay in a deluxe room and would also stay again thank you for making our anniversary special

We arrived to a friendly welcome, we stayed in room 12, we had a wonderful sea view, the room was very large, and in this hot weather there was a large free standing fan .It was very clean and the most amazing bed, lovely mattress and good pillows. The bathroom was clean and spacious. We was told that the restaurant that joined the hotel was a good place to eat,
We had an evening meal there, first class fish and chips, would recommend it definitely
Our breakfast was great, restaurant was very clean, nice clean tables and chairs, the waitress was very happy and helpful
The breakfast was very nicely cooked, and presented well,
Will be going back
