Quarterdeck is just minutes away from walks to river and beach and yet just round corner from Adnams shop ( great for breakfast and other treats) and shops, pubs and restaurants on High Street. Southwold is a very civilised place to explore and Quarterdeck is a very civilised place to take a group of friends or just your partner! The Nelson pub is a local legend but the pier is a brilliant way to blow away the cobwebs and see the famous beach huts.
We stayed in early October and enjoyed some fine autumn days. The house is beautifully furnished and kitchen fully equipped. The large lounge is very comfortable and light with fine double aspect widows; an excellent place to relax in the evening after exploring the area. The bedroom was good with a comfortable bed.
While the house is excellent, the location adds considerably to the attraction of this property. It's a short walk to the beach and to some real character pubs and restaurants serving a range of tasty food. Southwold is in many ways a quintessential old English seaside village with a fine beach, fascinating beach huts, a pier and character buildings. We loved it.
