Stayed here because of a two day event at the nearby Mildenhall Stadium. Only booked the day before and they had space as there was a wedding on the ground floor.

Was warned about possible music from the wedding but that did not spoil our stay at all.

Fantastic cooked breakfast, piping hot and extremely tasty with local ingredients.

Would happily stay here again.

From the moment of arrival to departure it’s was quite obvious the star quality of this hotel was the staff .

Welcoming , friendly and nothing to much trouble .

We had room 23 on the second floor which was massive and the bed comfortable.

The cold beer down by the river was most welcome after the 4 hr drive down .

We didn’t eat dinner here preferring a walk in the summer sun to a local pub , however breakfast was top quality and lots of it .

Overall a pleasant place to stay on our business trip to Suffolk .

Thankyou for reading my review.

The riverside House Hotel has spacious comfortable rooms, with nice bathrooms, and air conditioning.
To the rear of the hotel is a fantastic garden, leading down to the river, where you can sit and enjoy a meal and a drink.
The meals are delicious (we had fish and chips, and the ultimate burger, plus the cheese board, and sticky toffee pudding), and reasonably priced.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff, all of who are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Particular praise goes to the ladies on reception, the fantastic lady behind the bar, and the food service team (both evening meal and breakfast), all of who couldn't do enough for us.

We went on a family vacation-2 adults and 2 older teens. The booked the family suite which had our bed in one room and the kids’ twin beds in another room. Each room had their own AC. Both rooms looked out onto the back lawn and a small river. It was beautiful.

Breakfast in the morning was great and beer out on the lawn each night was wonderful (kids had “lemonade” aka lemon-lime soda). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

There are trails everywhere and a fantastic one that runs from Burton Mills along the river back to Mildenhall. The town of Mildenhall is nice and fun to explore.

We came to the riverside house hotel for a meal. We had traveled down for a wedding and had never been to the area before and this place was recommended. We came in and we’re offered a table by the window that was covered in flies and cobwebs. I ignored them and continued to order. We ordered starters and mains and dessert. We had a fish and chips, fish cakes and two steaks. We ordered the steaks rare and they both came well done. The fish cakes came on salad even though we were told it would come with veg. The fish batter was rather greasy and unappetizing. We had wine with the meal and that was nice. It was was unfortunate that this was our experience after it was recommended by family. Maybe it would be nice other times but not so great this time.
