Had a fantastic stay at the Metropolitan at The 9 this weekend!! First time stay there, though I'd previously heard great things and saw many very positive reviews...
NOT what I would expect from a "Cleveland" Hotel experience, right or wrong...
Much more like a lux, Boutique property you'd find in Vegas, NYC, or LA !!
Service was wonderful... Name recognition from some of the Front Desk staff is always a game changer and they did a great job throughout my 3-nt stay there... Really makes you feel important! Most appreciated! Further to that, the actual check-in experience was smooth, friendly, and more "personal" (kind of "pod-style" rather than traditional/old-school "Front Desk") where the "Emcee" (rather than Front Desk "agent") gave a more formal & friendly introduction to the hotel including escorting me to the guest elevators to ensure a warm welcome and pre-stay questions, answered. Like the personal "touch points"/interaction this creates.
Chic/trendy/modern-upscale are all descriptions of the feel & décor throughout the Hotel. LOVED my oversized guestroom! Clean lines, modern, tasteful décor, ultra-comfortable furnishings (LOVED the sectional sofa)... LOVED the shower!
Breakfast in the Hotel's Restaurant was a treat each morning of my stay, too!
Rooftop bar -- A+ !! Cool scene and great view.
