“Perfection!”

What a wonderful find this was, like staying in a good friend's home, rather than in a holiday let! Vallon Cottage has been beautifully and fully equipped with everything you could possible want and we were surrounded with lovely personal touches, original artworks and tasteful furnishings. Views from the cottage are breath taking and we sat outside on the terrace in the early morning October sunshine to enjoy them, likewise at dusk before coming inside for dinner in the candlelit conservatory. Late evenings by the cosy log burner, enjoying music from the good selection of CD's, or the wide variety of videos.. what relaxation! Local information was comprehensive and we found the area abundant with interesting places to visit and stunning scenery. The owner, couldn't have been more helpful and kind, providing everything we needed - and more, to ensure a truly memorable stay. Thank you Ali, we will be back!

Thank you Jo for such a wonderful review. I am so happy that you had such a wonderful time, both inside the cottage and in the Peak District. There is so much to do and explore isn't there? Your review is particularly welcome as Holiday Lettings/trip advisor have 'lost' all my reviews for 2014, and dont answer emails, so hopefully your review is the start of more words from satisfied, lovely people who have stayed in Vallon Cottage. Thank you and hope to welcome you another time. Ali

“Lovely little bolt hole in the Peaks”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Bramwell Cottage is a charming little cottage in a great location. The owners have worked hard at making it comfortable, the log fire was great to come home to after a long day walking and the living room and bedrooms were cosy. Plenty of hot water for baths and showers, lovely decor and lots of welcome little touches - logs to get the fire going, milk, coffee, tea and yummy biscuits. We were only there for two nights but could happily have stayed longer. Thanks Ali, we hope to return some day!

“A perfect cosy cottage”
Reviewed 12 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We were recommended this cottage by a family member and soon saw why....The cottage is perfectly located with wonderful views across the valley, very well equipped with everything you could wish for. The beds are extremely comfortable and it was the first time I'd heard owls! The village has 3 good pubs and there are plenty of excellent walks and bike rides in the local area.

“A gem of a cottage”
Reviewed 24 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This was my second visit to Bramwell cottage and this time stayed 2 weeks at the end of August. It is the perfect cottage for a relaxing break with magnificent views from the terrace and a wealth of walks from the doorstep. The cottage is both spotless and well equipped. Comfy beds ensure a good nights sleep with the only sounds being the owls. I will be back to stay again.

“Delightful Cottage”
Reviewed 6 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We visited Bramwell Cottage in August this year. The weather was excellent and the village location beautiful with lots of good pubs and pub food. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It has lots of character with a great patio and views and an open wood fire. Would thoroughly recommend. Just need to know that you have to walk through a neighbour's garden to get to the property but that did not provide a problem. The only noise was the sheep and the owls - both of which turned out to be nocturnal!

So lovely to hear you had such a lovely time. Yes you do have to walk infront of another cottage to get to the quiet and peace of Bramwell. A lot of the cottages in Youlgrave are like that because most of them are set into the hillside. Its rather like cornwall or Devon in that way, without the sea and beach :)
