“Wonderful holiday cottage in Winster, a charming scenic village.”

This was the third time we have stayed at the Croft, a wonderful cottage set high up in Winster with fantastic views from the garden. The property is maintained to a very high standard throughout. A lovely sun room at the back with steps leading up to an enclosed garden on two levels, perfect for anyone with with a pet. The view is absolutely amazing, looking down onto the village and out across the fields.
The cottage itself has everything you need for a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Well equipped kitchen, with a separate utility room with washer and dryer. The lounge has a large flat screen TV and games galore with books to read in case you want to just chill indoors. Two upstairs bedrooms with large flat screen TVs in both and a very impressive bathroom. The owners are friendly and helpful, all instructions and information about Winster are sent to you before your holiday,
The village is very quiet and peaceful with some of the most beautiful gardens around. There is a village shop which stocks all essentials for your stay. Plenty of walks and places to see.
It is one of the most relaxing holidays I can recommend and we will hopefully return next year. Love it!

“charming and homely cottage that gives you a big hug as you walk in”

i have stayed at the croft a couple of times with friends in the winter months and with my 16 year old daughter last summer. in the winter it is the perfect place for some R & R. light the wood burner and the candles, settle down with a nice glass of something and select from one of the many DVD's provided or settle down with a good book. the kitchen is very well stocked and the whole cottage is cosy and comfortable. my favourite bit would be the extra deep free standing bath.
in the summer my daughter and i were very lucky to have gorgeous sunny weather. we barely left the garden. it is small but perfectly formed and the views are stunning.
there are lots of places nearby to visit - my favourite is Bakewell. Chatsworth is close and not to be missed and there are amazing country walks for year round enjoyment.
you can probably gather i love this place and can't rate it highly enough
