“Compact, Quiet, Peaceful.”
Reviewed 24 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Stayed in the Cowshed for a second visit. 'Cowshed' under-sells this lovely little cottage, It is a converted milking shed which is now a homely, one-bedroom cottage in the grounds of Flatt Farm. It is small but has everything that you need. The well-stocked, very clean kitchen area has everything you need to prepare meals and the lounge area has a wood-burning stove, making it feel very cosy... even when the fire is not lit! The bedroom and bathroom are well-appointed and there is a beautiful stained glass window between the lounge and bedroom that adds colour. The decor is modern but still retains a rustic feel.

This is not a place to take children. It is a quiet retreat with easy access to the Peak District. Great for couples or singles. Pub nearby which serves good food. Peak district about two miles away. Want to go for nice walks? Just go out of the gate, turn right and off you go. On the way back you can stop off at the pub for lunch, dinner or just a drink. The owners of the Cowshed welcome you and will do all they can to ensure that you settle in quickly to enjoy your break. Compact, quiet, peaceful.

“Great weekend”
Reviewed 11 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

I stayed at the cow shed over a weekend,on arrival we were met by the owners who were very welcoming and gave us loads of local info and advice.the cow shed was immaculately cleaned and very homely, it was only a short walk into town. The local pub was a great place for food and to meet a few of the locals, overall, we had a great weekend.

“a delight to stay here”
Reviewed 7 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The moment we arrived we were met with the keys and showed in to the cowshed. It was so well decorated and had some lovely feminine touches. It is only a 10 minute walk away from the town. We stayed 4 nights and it was a delight to come back to after some hard walking. We only used the wood burner one evening as the central heating was ample sufficient.

“December in Glossop”
Reviewed 10 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

I had a lovely 5 day stay at The Cowshed! It couldn't have been more perfect - nicely decorated and cozy with a wood burning stove and everything I could need. Wendy and Andrew were very kind & helpful and I would love the chance to stay there again! I enjoyed great views of the countryside during walks on the footpaths close by as weather permitted.
