“Lovely bungalow in great location”
Reviewed 21 June 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The location, just outside Belper, is perfect for walking & sightseeing. The accommodation is great for a couple, well equipped for self catering. Helen left some scones, jam & cream for our arrival & came out with more when she saw we had visitors, a nice touch. It was a pity we could only stay 3 nights. Hope to return for a longer trip.

“Beautiful cottage in great location”
Reviewed 14 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The Mistal is very well located, on the edge of the town of Belper with it's fantastic high street and vast array of shops, pubs and eateries. There are several traditional 'country' pubs in the immediate vicinity, including the Hanging Gate less than a minute up the road, which does hearty meals and has a good selection of ales - just what we needed after a long days walking in the Peak District.

The cottage itself is fantastic - beautifully fitted out with everything you need. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the lounge area is very cosy and has an electric fire, TV, DVD player and good selection of films. The bedroom is nicely decorated with an incredibly comfy bed.

Everything has been thought of, with lots of little touches that really make you feel at home. Alongside the warm and friendly welcome from Helen and Tony and the beautiful surroundings, this made for a truly memorable stay.

“Very comfortable and welcoming cottage”
Reviewed 15 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We wanted to visit the Heritage Mills of Amber valley, specifically Strutts Mill in Belper and Arkwrights Mill at Cromford. We chose The Mistal from the Net and were not disappointed .!
From the welcoming scones , tea bags and milk to all the helpful information everything was perfect. Helen and Tony are very nice people and do their best to ensure you have a good stay. The accommodation is a fairly recent conversion and, as such, is immaculate. The king size bed is very comfortable.! The TV is excellent and wi-fi great..The only slight oddity is no wardrobe but hangers are provided in the hall between bed and bath rooms.
We were very happy with our visit and have no reservations in thoroughly recommending The Mistal
Just be aware that there are no eating places in the near vicinity. The nearest pub, which is excellent, is about a mile away.
