“A breathtaking little cottage, wonderfully run, in a wonderful surrounding, a wonderful place to experience.”
Reviewed 3 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This cottage took our breath away from the moment we stepped in the courtyard. We were well greeted with wine and chocolates and a smile, the cottage was well equipped, everything was very easy, from finding your way around the cottage to finding your way about the town. Such a relaxing break for those looking for just that with a cherry on top!
The cottage was absolutely spotless, the decor was absolutely beautiful, cosy, so comfortable, I absolutely adored the little cottage with its little quirks and character.
Ian and Maria made the process very easy with great communication, wonderful manner and they couldn't make it any better.
I will be recommending it to anyone wanting a beautiful stay away, romantic, relaxing, luxurious, and we would definitely love to go again, and the price of staying here I thought was fantastically reasonable.
I couldn't praise it enough :)

“Lovely cosy cottage that's full of character”
Reviewed 26 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We loved Pegges and the reality lived up to the photos. It was a lovely warm and cosy cottage full of character. It was also spotlessly clean. Maria is a lovely lady and there were some really nice touches including a box of gorgeous local gingerbread biscuits (that tasted homemade) and a bottle of wine plus, we were also provided with a bathrobe each. The cottage is conveniently situated for the shops in the centre of Ashbourne....about a 5 minute walk. And for those who love shopping there is an excellent selection of individual dress shops, gift shops and tea shops. There is also a Sainsbury's and a Waitrose within easy walking distance (5 minutes to Sainsbury's / 5 to 10 minutes to Waitrose). All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

Me and my husband stayed here for a week as our honeymoon. We absolutely loved the cottage and the location was great too! It is so quaint and quirky, we wished that we had longer there! we would definitely return here again. Thank you for the gift and cake too, was delicious.

“A lovely, cosy cottage in a good location”
Reviewed 25 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed for 3 nights recently. The cottage was cosy, warm, well decorated throughout and in a good location. We had wine and chocolates waiting for us on our arrival which was a welcome touch. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked and modern. The rest of the cottage is presented really nicely. There are some lovely shops and cafés in Ashbourne. We also cycled the Tissington trail which starts very close to the cottage and we also went to Dovedale. There was secure storage for our bikes at the cottage. The only minor issue was how squeaky the bed was which woke my partner when either one of us moved in the night.
