“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 22 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Just returned from a fabulous week in the lake district. Me, my hubby and my daughter, her partner and two small children stayed at the coach house. What a lovely place...set in the midst of a small village this 3 bedroomed property was cozy and had everything you could need. We liked the layout where the living accommodation was upstairs and the sleeping accommodation downstairs. The week was freeing and wet but our stay was warm and comfortable. Mary. ..the owner came to visit us the first night and was keen to make sure we had a great break. She recommended places to visit, eat and shop. Warm and friendly sums Mary up. The cottage had everything from microwave, dishwasher, dvd player, fridge, freezer. ...truly home from home. My grandchildren aged 3 and 4 loved it. I would recommend this place as a perfect Base for touring the lakes and north Yorkshire. Great location, great value for money. ....lovely lovely break

“Fabulous Cottage”
Reviewed 15 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The Coach house is just lovely, set in a quiet village and is equipped with everything you need and more. The added extra's the mood lighting, the under floor heating etc make this all the more cosy. Tea. Coffee, biscuits awaiting for us on arrival. Mary came to make sure we were ok and was very helpful. The folder provided with general info on the area and map was very useful. This is set in the quiet peaceful setting of Heversham and you are only a mile away from Milnthorpe which has pubs, shops, restaurant & supermarket. There is a lovely restaurant called No17 that catered for gluten free - an added bonus!
All in all a perfect stay at this lovely cottage ideally located to explore the lakes.

“A perfectly lovely cottage to come back to after a day in The Lake District”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Lovely warm cosy cottage. Everthing you could wish for in the kitchen. Lovely fire and gorgeous sofa to relax on and watch films. Easy access to Kendal, Keswick, Hawkshead, Bowness and Windermere. Lovely for walk, climbs and picnics. Plenty of information in the cottage on what to do and where to visit. Tea, coffee and biscuits on our arrival and a nice welcome from Mary. We all appreciated having excellent WiFi! Heversham is very peaceful place to come back to after day trips and it has a lovely walk through the church yard and up the hill to watch the sunset and see the spectacular views across to Arnside. Constant hot water and great showers and facilities. A perfectly lovely cottage to come back to after a day in The Lake District.

“Characteristic, ideally located cozy cottage!”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Tucked away, a very clean, cozy, comfortable cottage with good access to local amenities. Ideally located for south lakes, there is plenty to do without having to travel too far. Lake Windermere and Kendal only 20mins away by car to name a couple with plenty of attractions. The cottage itself was extremely well presented, with everything you need, a real home from home feel, and a really helpful visit on our first day from the owner. Also the local pub is well worth a visit for a cheap pint!

“Lovely Cottage in Sleepy Hamlet.”
Reviewed 24 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

The Cottage was great, spacious, clean and very well equipped, my only critic was there was no hairdryer as i hadnt packed mine.. Mary the owner kept in touch with me by text to check everything was ok and we were able to check in early and check out late on the Monday which was great, The rooms are lovely, fresh bedding and towels and some toiletries are provided also and the cottage is snuggly warm, It is in a sleepy Hamlet with one pub around the corner, Milnthorpe was a pleasent 1mile or so walk away with several shops and pubs, Mary recommended a few restaurants to us and we opted for the Wheatsheaf were the starter and the dessert were just 1p! We also visited the small Zoo just outside Milnthorpe that was great.. There is also a playground outside the cottage door if you have small children. I would def recommend the Cottage..
