After waiting what feels like forever for The Swan to reopen we took the first available opportunity to visit for lunch, refurb is lovely very stylish as it was before, loads of staff available which is always good, the lunch menu unfortunately is very limited not one of us could make up our minds as there was nothing we quite fancied, normally it's always the case you can't choose between which meal to go for! I ordered the Swan salad as did my sister, talk about a bag of mixed leaves split between the two of us - oh with half a slice of wet ham each, a thumb size piece of smoked chicken and a postage stamp of avocado - bland and very very poor. My husband had the salt beef hunger buster - it was a sandwich and a small one at that, he said it lacked flavour, last dish was scampi again very average. So disappointing as I love the place, I will return for drinks but certainly wouldn't hurry back for food anytime soon. Gutted as it is such a lovely place!

Had lunch here after this hotel had been closed after flooding which affected the whole area from last December

The whole hotel has been completely refurbished to a very high standard

The service and the food was brilliant

Well done to all after a miserable winter

Beautiful location. The hotel has clearly recently been refurbished and is lovely inside too. Staff were friendly, polite and happy to help. Restaurant/bar staff particularly friendly. Rooms were decent size and well maintained. Location is the key though and the sitting area outside is wonderful when the sun shines

Not got much to say really just would not return. Place in complete disarray as being refurbished which was not advised when we booked - refurbishment is horrid dark and dingy don't know why they have bothered

A nice hotel by the River, lovely outside seating on the riverfront is marred by the road to the carpark. Trying to cross the road with drinks and dodge the cars wasn't fun. Pub grub is as you would expect, good portions and reasonable value.
