“Great cottage”

Just spent a week here and it was amazing
Great holiday cottage in a lovely area
The cottage was spotlessly clean and had all the home comforts needed.
How great is it to open your door and just see fields outside!!!!

The play barn was huge
My kids loved it
Didn't realise how big it was
Was great just to leave my cottage door open and let my kids run free between the barn and the cottage

Already re-booked for next year and have made sure I recommend it to everyone I know
There is so much to do in and around the area as well although driving is needed
Some great restaurants locally as well
Highly recommended

“A home away from home.”

Spent 4 nights in the Cornstore. A beautiful rural little cottage with all that you could think of, it had more utensils than we have at home. The sunroom is lovely. We were particularly impressed with the kids playroom in the shed. Tonnes of stuff in there with foosball and pool table, full size ping pong table and even a giant Connect 4. Its brilliant for kids on a rainy day. Katie and her husband were so sweet and even did some research for us to find a lovely scenic drive through the Peak District.

thank you for your lovely comments, and the tomatoes in the sun room/summer house are coming on well. The play barn has had a bit of a make over complete with hay bales for a rustic feel. best wishes

We stayed here for just one night after a trip to Alton Towers, which is just a few miles away. Even though we were there so briefly, we were made to feel very welcome. It was perfectly comfortable for our family of four. It was clean and warm and had tea/ coffee and milk for the next morning. What I particularly good about this place is the games room if you have kids. With the British weather, our kids would have happily spent hours in there, and if the weather is nice, there is a lovely outside area with amazing views of the countryside

This little cottage is lovely and had everything we needed. The booking process was very simple with good communication relating to my many questions. No problem with having a put you up bed in the bunk bed room so there was more than enough room for our 3 boys.
Lovely touch of tea coffee milk and some home baking to start off the break.
Everything you can think of is provided, the kitchen especially is well equipped only missing item is a dishwasher but three boys came in handy for that one! Even little touches like washing up liquid and liquid soap, a bin in every room things like this make a difference.
Shower room was effective and the whole cottage was spotlessly clean. The playbarn was great. The boys enjoyed several games of pool. There is also a laundry room, which we didn't need to use. The location is lovely and ideally located for our visit to alton towers. If we were in the area again we would definitely stay and would recommend.

We stayed at Birchenfields, in the Corn Store, for 4 nights. We received a great welcome and the cottage was spotless on arrival. There was plenty of room for the four of us and we were very impressed with the facilities. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, hob and oven together with numerous cooking utensils and a food mixer, weighing scales etc. The lounge/diner was very well laid out and comfortable. The bunk bedroom had a ipod docking station and the main bedroom had a hairdryer. There was plenty of storage space in both rooms. The shower room was also well laid out. We were able to access the internet and WIFI was free. There was a separate laundry room with 2 washing machines and a tumble dryer and iron and ironing boards. One of the barns was set up as a games room and we spent a lot of time in the evenings playing table tennis, table football and pool. The cottages are in a great location for Alton Towers and for visiting the Peak District. We would love to return as we had a great time.
