Stayed for a two night weekend break. The hotel looks as good as the pictures with a decent sized car park within easy reach of the front entrance. The reception area was welcoming as were the friendly staff. The bedroom was not large but was perfectly designed with wardrobe, ironing equipment, safe, fridge, large tv, robes and a modern bathroom with toiletries rather than the dreaded soap dispenser. We had complimentary bottles of water and some soft drinks which was welcome but didn’t appear for the second night which was a shame as we paid the same for both nights. The public areas are large and comfortable with live music in the lounge bar on Fridays. We ate in the dining room on the first evening which is a pleasant modern room and in the equally comfortable bar on the second night. The menu is mostly grills and was fine although had little option for our vegetarian guest. Only real complaint was that our bar food was served on wobbly wooden boards. Can’t wait for the slate/ board platter trend to cease.
A big bonus for this hotel is the indoor pool which some of our group enjoyed both days. Overall I would certainly stay here again when next in the area.More
