This condo looks way better in the photos than in real life. We got there and there were handprints from what appeared to be children on the walls. A giant brown recluse spider was in the bathroom. The white couch is stained and broken in and basically uncomfortable. The couch in the tiny room with the TV was also very worn out and uncomfortable. The closet door kept coming off in the second bedroom. The pool area in the back had a beat up, worn wood table and the dipping pond was dirty and filled with bugs the whole time we were there - no net for us to clean it out either.
We stayed at Tao a year ago in another unit and it was much nicer with none of these issues.
A really comfortable Townhouse with everything you need for a stay there. The layout was spacious and everything seemed new. The beds were really comfortable. The roof terrace for lovely for yoga and early morning reading. The kitchen had everything you need. The air conditioning was also great!! The bathrooms and showers also very lovely. The master bedroom doesn't have walls, just shutters which is great for night time as you really don't need to have the air conditioning on.
Our favourite place for breakfast was the Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal (about 5 mins up the road). Also the Buena Vida for lunch and dinner at Akamal. We spent all our time really though in Tulum, which although 18km away, was really really easy to drive to and from. Our favourite restaurants there were La Zebra, The Mezzanine and the beach by both these are beautiful. Poca Nau - the beach club on the beach by the public beach is a great place to hire cheap sun shade all day and you can go out snorkelling with the turtles from there. Plus you can park in their car park so very easy lovely lazy days on the beach. Tulum Town restaurants - Burrito Amor was our favourite. Coba and Tulum ruins amazing. Plus lots of Cenotes around. Didn't waste money on going to any of the adventure parks as wanted to be by the beach.
