A group of 14 Boomers stayed in this magnificent house for a week this March (2015). A pretty discerning group (all of whom have traveled extensively throught the world), we had high expectations -- and still were just blown away by this house! From our first happy hour (with complimentary margaritas, chips, salsa and the best guacamole that we had ever had) to the last of our al fresco breakfasts oceanside, we could not have been more pleased. Beautiful rooms (almost all of which have ocean views), spacious common areas to mingle and seating for meals both indoors and out for all 14 of us. We cancelled plans for restauratnt dinners several evenings because no one wanted to leave the Casa (and the kitchen was really outfitted well for those who like to cook). Snorkeling was great in the ocean right in front of the villa, and the sunning was terrific poolside. And last -- but not least -- our host, Udi, was uncommonly gracious and his staff took care of our every need. Just marvelous. You will not be disappointed....
Our extended family of 10 spent a week at Villa del Sol Naciente and had the perfect vacation. The villa was beautifully decorated and appointed, with comfortable bedrooms, spacious common rooms, a beautiful garden with pool and multiple spots areas in which to relax in the company of others or alone. The villa is right on the beach and we took advantage of the location for extended beach walks. Akumal itself is a great little town, away from the hubbub of the Riviera Maya and well-located to the major Mayan ruins. The owners, Udi and Liz, went out of their way to make our visit a success and they have a wonderful staff on hand to make sure that everything was in order, right down to having our rental car delivered to and picked up from the villa. We also enjoyed lavish dinners prepared by the resident chef. I cannot think of a better place to stay and banish the winter blues!

The Casa is an incredible place to stay. Infinitely better for us than a large, impersonal all-inclusive. We stayed there with a group of 8: my fiancé and our 6 kids - from 32 to 17 yrs.
Superb set up for a group. Plenty of privacy if people choose. And terrific shared common space to nourish and encourage engaging activity and conversation.
Perfectly located. Rented two cars which was a wise choice. Ten - fifteen minute walk up the beach to the best swimming and snorkeling area. Spectacular turtles and reef life. Close enough to Akumal restaurants and quickly drivable to Yalku, Tulum etc. Wonderul cenotes close by. Close enough by car to large super mercados and ATMs.
Absolutely delightful property owners and staff. Accommodating supportive cheerful. Fabulous energy all
