The casita is inside the owner's backyard. You must walk through their door space in order to enter or exit. There are two dogs on the premises, one is a pit bull that will chase you growling all the way to your door and try to jump on you. They also wash their dogs in the pool. Dogs also poop on the shared outside space. Don't leave anything out or the dogs will destroy it and watch where you step. The rooms were fine, but roaches dropped from the ceiling onto the beds. There was also a dead scorpion in the bathroom. The wife, Sharon, is very nice, but the husband is a Know-It-All.

The casita is in the best location in Ajijic..No need for a car..easy walking to almost everywhere..to Walmart, groceries, Casino..middle of town & so many wonderful restaurants...
If you want to explore...taxi available or hop on a bus & just go...
Bob & Sharon are great hosts...left us alone..but very helpful with the answers for any of our questions...
The pool & patio, was heaven...perfect....would love to go back..but the seemed to be booked up...well in advance. I think we were lucky to be able to rent for a week...Perfect hide a away....

I heartily concur with the previous reviews. I stayed for 7 wonderful weeks in both casitas. In the heart of the village, yet very private. The layout is such that you have your own space. 2 blocks to the Malecon. 4 blocks to the Plaza. 1 block to the local bus. Great hosts in Bob and Sharon. Lots to do or just kick back and watch the butterflies. 12 peso bus ride to awesome hot springs. Good value. Good times.
