Our family had the pleasure of staying at Ingrid's serene cottage this past August. We left rejuvenated and restored. Lake Huron will capture your heart, with its majestic presence. At times crystal clear and serene and others dramatic and crashing. We spent most our our time at Ingrid's very private beach- splashing all day and enjoying beachside campfires at night.
The cottage has all that you need to be comfortable. While not a 'luxury' destination, it has plenty of charm and is quaint enough to feel like a proper cottage experience. We really appreciated the layout, although modest in size there was room to spread out and not feel on top of each other. The second living room with a door and adjoining bedroom allowed us to quietly put our little ones down and then join our family in the main kitchen/living room for a rousing game of euchre without fear of waking the kids.
The whole west side of the cottage is covered in windows, making for magnificent views of the sunsets. The stairs down to the water are extremely well made, ensuring a very safe climb.
Ingrid was a wonderful host, offering prompt and courteous service as our numbers and requests changed a few times before our arrival. She even helped us arrange accommodation for our parents at a nearby cottage. We look forward to returning next summer and enjoying the new sleeping barrel that was setup but not ready for use during our stay.
