We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Heaps House. What a perfect little cottage. The lay out and use of space has been very well thought out.The only down side was having to leave. Everything you could possibly need is provided. There were also some extra touches, a loaf, cereals, a small bottle of milk and a tub of real butter which were very thoughtful. The cottage is an upside down one with the bedroom and en suite bathroom situated down stairs. The bedroom was really peaceful with no outside noise to be heard and we had 3 good nights sleep. The bathroom is beautiful, really luxurious. A large walk in shower, a free standing bath on a raised plinth which has light's which come on when the door opens, a wc and a modern sink. It can be entered either through a door off the stairs or via the bedroom. The cottage is decorated and furnished impeccably. A mixture of the old features which have been retained and new modern one's which work really well together. There is a guide book provided which tells of the history of the cottage and leaflets explaining things to do and local menus which were really useful. Also the WI FI code. The lounge is very comfortable with 2 settee's, one which double's as a bed and a large tv and a dining table and chairs. The kitchen then comes off the lounge and is very well equipped. There is also a wc off the entrance hallway. Outside there is off road parking plus a table and 2 chairs if you like al fresco. We will definitely be returning.
